Counselling for any person directly or indirectly affected by a substance misuse problem.

Free individual counselling and treatment referrals are available for youth and adults who use substances, as well as for individuals affected by someone else’s substance use. All counselling services are grounded in a harm reduction approach, recognizing abstinence as one of many possible options for those seeking support. Support is available at any stage of the journey.

To connect with the Substance Use Counselling team, call the Substance Use Intake Line to be contacted by a counsellor. Services are provided in North and South Delta. Outreach services are also available for those facing barriers to accessing in-office support.

Naloxone Kits and training are also available at our North Delta office.

Substance Use Education Group: An open drop-in group for adults who have substance use issues themselves, or who are being affected by someone else’s substance use. This is an 8 week program for adults 19 years and older whose lives have been affected by substance use, their own or another person’s.

Topics covered include:

Week one: Problem use and addiction
Week two: Substances and their effects
Week three: Effects on relationships
Week four: Relapse prevention
Week five: Recovery and the stages of change
Week six: Stress management
