Youth Employment Support - Delta

Offers government funded hybrid (online/in-person) employment programs that help youth living in the Metro Vancouver Regional District (MVRD) enter or re-enter the Canadian workforce.
Programs include:
Employment Now:A free program that offers up to six weeks of group-based workshops and training, job opportunities in Customer Service, Retail Sales, Hospitality, Office Administration, or clerical work, and three months of one-on-one Job Coaching support.
  • Receive a cash completion bonus of $300 once you finish the training, plus additional cash bonuses for getting and keeping a job
  • Design a resume and cover letter that gets noticed by employers
  • Master the secrets of successful job interviews resulting in more and better job offers
  • Continue to meet one-on-one with our professionally trained staff to improve your results
  • Get hands-on experience by accessing on-the-job training with our employer partners
  • Support to address barriers to employment and connect to services in your community
  • Financial support for transportation, clothing and footwear to have you looking your best!

Youth Works: Four weeks of online group-based workshops and certificate training followed by a six-week work experience placement with a local employer! You are paid an hourly wage while attending the workshops and during the placement!
  • Virtual workshops including interview skills, resume & cover letter preparation and a variety of topics to help you find and keep a job
  • Short-term certification training to get noticed by employers
  • Ongoing one-on-one support to achieve your employment goals
  • $$$ Completion bonus available $$$
