Speech and Language Development For Children

Support for communication development in children aged zero to five years.
Services are offered for children 0-5 years of age. Services include:
  • Screen, monitor and assess communication abilities.
  • Develop treatment plans to identify communication goals.
  • Show parents how to encourage their child’s communication skills.

If you are uncertain whether a child needs speech and language services, refer to the guidelines.

Parents who have concerns about their child’s communication abilities can self-refer for this service. Please tell your doctor if you self-refer and make an appointment with one of our speech-language pathologists. Other accepted referrals include public health units, preschool teachers and health professionals.
