Asante Centre - Fetal Alcohol and Autism Spectrum Disorder Services

Offers assessment, diagnostic, and family support services for individuals and families who are, or are suspected of, living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other complex developmental needs.
The Asante Centre provides various health and social services like assessment, therapy, primary care, and community strengthening for people with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) and other developmental diversities such as autism.

More specifically, they provide care plans for affected individuals, addressing medical, school, home, and life skills issues. Support services for FASD and ASD include diagnostic outreach services, consultation, speech-language services, education and prevention workshops, assessment and diagnostic training, and assistance with community capacity building concerning FASD and other effects of prenatal substance exposure.

Services and programs offered include:
  • Assessment and diagnosis
  • Specialized health care
  • Peer mentorship and consultation
  • Family and community support
  • Speech language therapy
  • Education and resources

The Centre is pleased to work with a variety of referral streams, including options for:
  • Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD);
  • Complex developmental conditions from a range of stressors (CCY);
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD);
  • Separate assessments for comprehensive psychology, medical, speech-language, and/or occupational therapy needs.

Referral Details: Referrals are not required for a private assessment. Private assessments are paid by the client, family or another community agency approved to pay for it. Please contact us to begin the intake process for a private assessment. We have some non-private referral options, including:

  • Community Living BC
  • Xyolhemeylh (Fraser Valley Aboriginal Child & Family Services)
  • Sunny Hill Hospital
