Food Bank - Surrey

Food bank provides food to families living in Surrey and North Delta.
Registered clients may visit the Surrey Food Bank and receive a nutritious supply of food every 14 days. The quantity of food provided is based on household size.

The Food Bank also provides:
Tiny Bundles: For families with pregnant Moms and children under one year of age. The program provides a full week’s worth of nutrition, along with diapers, baby food, and other items.

Toddler Totes: For Toddlers Aged 12 -24 months. Packages include a selection of age appropriate foods such as protein, soup, fruit sauce, whole grain cereal, crackers and milk. Toddler Totes is designed to ensure that babies receive their full nutrition requirements during their formative years.

Pre-K: For Children Ages 24 months - 5 years old. Offers additional food items for children aged 2 (24 months) to 5 years old. Packages include appropriate foods such as juice, fruit sauce, whole grain cereal, crackers, granola and protein. This program is designed to ensure that children receive their full nutrition requirements during their formative years as they transition from toddler to school age.

Seniors Distribution: Provides seniors aged 65 plus with a specific date and time to collect their food in a respectful and non-rushed environment.

Hamper to your Home: Designed for clients with mobility issues. Mobility issues include high-risk pregnancy, parents who are postpartum, C-Section patients, people with terminal or debilitating conditions, those who are elderly and frail, and those who are recovering from surgery or an accident.
Qualification: To be eligible for food assistance through Hamper to Your Home, individuals must be registered with the Surrey Food Bank. Eligibility also requires that mobility status and the need for delivery be validated by a medical doctor. A note or letter from the doctor explaining the mobility challenges must be provided.
