Parenting, Child and Youth Programs - Greater Victoria

Provides a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Victoria is committed to transforming the lives of children, youth, and families by providing programs and services designed to meet the evolving needs of our community.

Programs include:
Licensed Before and After School Care: Children registered in this program have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities such as gross motor play, crafts, out trips, themed activities, sports, and a whole lot more! Click here for more information.

Youth Programs: Outdoor Adventure Program, W.I.L.D. Wilderness Immersion & Leadership Development, and Programs for Female Identifying Youth (Provides an open-minded, welcoming and safe spaces for female-identifying youth to feel empowered to be themselves), Tweeny but Mighty (Tweeny but Mighty is a program for female-identifying youth ages 8 – 12. Tweeny but Mighty is a fun, supportive, and inclusive space for youth to be on a Friday night. The program focuses on self-esteem development through friendship, fun, and laughter. Youth & Family Programs: Programs address housing instability, life skills, mental health and social / community connections. Individually, Supportive recovery addresses specific needs concerning youth using substances. All of the programs are voluntary, open to all genders and reside in a care home situated in Greater Victoria.
Programs includes
  • Turning Point: A short-term residential program for youths that addresses specific needs concerning safety (youth at risk of sexual exploitation, trans, homelessness.
  • The Youth Prenatal & Parenting Program (YP3) program: Addresses specific needs to prenatal care, young parenting, and often MCFD involvement & advocacy.
  • Best Babies: Offers support to pregnant women and their newborns up to 68weeks of age. Women attend weekly group sessions that cover topics including prenatal education, health, nutrition and infant care.

Programs for Youth Involved in the Justice System: Full-Time Attendance Program (Offers 2 community-based residential programs as an alternative to custody for male youths 12 to 18 years of age), Orchard House (Residential treatment program for youth experiencing substance use issues).

Parenting Programs: Provides nationally developed parenting programs for teens and pre-teens based on a model of education and group support.
