This clinic provides assessment and treatment of incontinence for adults by a nurse continence advisor and a continence physiotherapist. Additionally, Urodynamic tests are performed here to assess how the bladder and urethra are performing their job of storing and releasing urine. This clinic may also be known as the Urology Clinic or Continence Clinic. Each initial assessment takes 90 minutes and follow up may take up to 30 minutes.
This program provides services to improve the adults and older adults with urinary and fecal incontinence or stop leaking completely and is appropriate for post-partum women, peri- and post- menopausal women, post-urological surgical (e.g. bladder suspensions, prostate surgery) patients, and seniors.
Must be aged 17 or older for the Continence Clinic at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre, as well as Victoria Heights. Must be aged 65 or older for the Continence Clinic at Peace Arch Hospital.
