Two community gardens that allow individuals to grow their own food and socialize.
Two community gardens consisting of eighty-four leased plots, along with numerous plots designated for common purposes, projects or special groups. More than simply a place to grow food for the household, Alex House community gardens are truly communities of gardeners, with opportunities to learn, and socialize together.
Interested individuals can apply for a plot. The application period is yearly between February 15 to March 15, at which time you can apply directly online.
There is a plot fee of $35/season. Individuals must also hold an annual Alex House membership ($10/year individual; $8 senior/student; $15/year family).
