Prince George Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT Clinic) - Nechako Youth Treatment Program - Addiction Treatment

Provided by Northern Health

Provides substance misuse management, detox, and treatment, as well as mental health assessments for youth aged 13-18. Individual, family, and group support are also provided. Located in Prince George.
Services are provided by an interprofessional team with a psychiatrist, psychologist, general practitioners, team leader, youth counsellors, nurses, licensed practical nurses, family liaison, waitlist clinicians, and school teachers. The focus is on addictions, with support for concurrent mental health concerns. Programming is provided through group and individual activities.

Our program represents a part of a continuum of service. We work collaboratively with the young person, with their family members and with services in their community to provide a consistent support network to help the person make meaningful, positive changes in their life.

We work hard to create a comfortable, welcoming environment where young people can feel safe and can take the time to develop new skills and awareness. This includes working to support an after care plan so that the young person can continue the work they do in our program with ongoing support systems at home.

When a young person is referred to us their name is usually placed on our waiting list so that they can be admitted to the unit when space becomes available.
